** Student visa appointments: The US Mission to Ghana is committed to accommodating all student visa applicants. To make an appointment, please click here. Students should schedule appointments online and only contact the Consular Section if their program requires an earlier appointment than is available online.

If your I-20 indicates a start date before the first available interview date, and you could not reasonably have foreseen this, then we will make efforts to grant an earlier interview. Please come to the Consulate at 8 a.m. Wednesday prior to your travel date, and we will accommodate you as soon as possible.
If you have already received an expedited appointment within the last year, you must book/make appointment online like all other applicants.

Visa Processing:
In cases where visas are issued, applicants should expect to wait two days for the processing of their visa. Please plan accordingly when making travel arrangements.

All applicants should be aware that the times given above are AVERAGES, and that the processing time of a specific case can vary due to individual circumstances.
