Peace Corps

The U.S. Peace Corps in Ghana recruits and hires short-term contractors as trainers and facilitators for a variety of training activities during each year. To identify trainers, we maintain a database of potential short-term contractors and actively recruit new candidates. Qualified short-term contractors provide services for workshops, in-service trainings, and program evaluations.

Contract positions requested may include:
Pre-Service Training Site Directors
Pre-Service Training Technical Trainers, Logistical Coordinators, Homestay Coordinators
Language Specialists (who are certified ACTFL Language tester trainers)
Workshop Facilitators
Training Designers and Project Designers
Writers/Editors for Materials Development
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists
Technical Trainers in fields such as: Small Enterprise Development, Secondary Teacher Education, Forestry and Environmental Issues, Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Education, Information & Communication Technologies.

Personal Services Contractors are compensated with a daily rate based on the candidate's relevant salary history and work experience in conjunction with the established compensation range for the position. Additionally, travel, and a small per diem are provided. Should your skills match those required for an upcoming consultancy, you will be contacted to verify your availability for and interest in the position. We try to begin our initial screening at least 4 months prior to a contract start date as the process of screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates is quite lengthy.

If you are interested in short-term training positions, please submit a cover letter, contact information, and c.v. or résumé to:
