  Chargé d’Affaires
Sue K. Brown



Sue K. Brown began her assignment as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana on August 11, 2006. She assumed duties as Chargé d’Affaires on July 8th, 2008.

Prior to this assignment, Ms. Brown served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, Eritrea . Ms Brown has extensive overseas experience with postings in various parts of East and West Africa as well as Europe and East Asia. Ms. Brown who joined the Foreign Service (United States Information Agency) in 1980, is a career Senior Foreign Service Officer, and has the rank of Counselor.

A native of Texas, Ms. Brown’s foreign languages include French and Bahasa Indonesian.

Ms. Brown has four children.
